Ok this bypasses the updater and bypasses all the startup videos, the first thing you see is the skeleton screen that has the loading bar when you start up.

this is in no way a hack, you dont have to delete or really change any files to make this work.

shadowbane.exe – updater front end for shadowbane
sb.exe – the actual game !

A.) all this just opens up your shadowbane folder
1.) right click the shadowbane icon on your desktop, then click properties
2.) click the shortcut tab
3.) click “find target”

B.) change name of cinimatics folder so sb dont see it
1.) right click the folder Cinematics
2.) click rename
3.) rename to Cinematicsbak

C.) Start sb with sb.exe NOT shadowbane
1.) in that same shadowbane folder right click the sb.exe
2.)click send to -> desktop create shortcut

Ok now just start sb with the sb.exe that you just put on your desktop. If you start with shadowbane.exe it will download the cinematics folder again and you will have to do this all over, so only use shadowbane.exe when you want to update (which is almost never).

This will save you tons of time, belive me !!
